The season has now officially begun as I packed my bags and boarded my first long haul flight of the year ! This time my quest for sunshine was well and truly achieved as I stepped off the plane into a nice 25 degrees at 6pm at night !! It is the Trek team camp and the opportunity to all get together as a team for the first time this year, for team photos, the collection of this year’s bikes and a big Christmas time with all the new kit !!

It was cool to see all the guys from Trek again and to see all the hard work they have put into the new bike paint job and kit design, I think it all looks great. I also have a couple of new team mates this year, Neko Mulally a junior Dh rider and Emily Batty for XC. We had a few days of testing with Fox suspension and then some filming with the Parkin brothers and a few photos for the team postcards etc. It’s pretty easy to get all this done when everyday is over 25degrees with perfect blue sky everyday !!
We also had chance to ride some of the xc trails in the area, pretty cool little network of trails. The Trek guys new all the routes and took us on a couple of rides. It’s great that everyone who works for Trek also gets out there and rides aswell !

Team camp is now over and we are moving up to California for the Sea Otter Classic next weekend.
